Add Turfway Park to the growing list of winter racetracks that have canceled live racing on Thursday due to widespread cold. The track announced its cancellation this morning, joining Aqueduct, Charles Town and Penn National, who had already done so.

After dipping to -5 degrees in the Turfway Park area early Thursday morning, temperatures are expected to increase to approximate seasonal norms on Friday. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high temperature of 36 degrees during the day, dropping to 32 overnight - though there is a chance of a wintry mix of precipitation.

The Cincinnati Trophy Stakes is scheduled for Friday night as the fifth race on an eight-race card.
