Super Steed won the Grade 3, $500,000 Southwest Stakes at 62-1 on Monday at Oaklawn Park, picking up 10 points for the Kentucky Derby. Sueno finished second at 7-1 and Long Range Toddy was third at 7-1. The fourth place finisher was Six Shooter at 28-1. 

The second through third place finishers earned points on a scale of 4-2-1. 

Super Steed paid $126.60 to win. Jockey Terry Thompson was aboard the winner for trainer Larry Jones.
