Hustle Up, at 5-2, gave Todd Fincher his 1,000th career Thoroughbred training victory when he won the $100,000 Mine That Bird Derby at Sunland Park.
Hustle Up covered the mile and a sixteenth on a fast track in 1:42.71 after setting fractions of 23.64, 47.34 and 1:11.09.
Wicked Indeed rallied for second in the race that served as the local prep for the Grade 3, $800,000 Sunland Derby.
