Share the Upside through Friday had the distinction of putting up the highest Beyer Speed Figure of the current Oaklawn meet. Trainer Steve Asmussen said Saturday morning that the horse is being pointed for the Hot Springs Stakes here March 9.
Share the Upside has made one start at Oaklawn, earning a Beyer of 100 for his win in an optional $50,000 claiming sprint over six furlongs Jan. 27. He covered the distance in 1:09.36. Share the Upside proved five and a half lengths best, one start after capturing a first-level allowance by a clear margin at Churchill Downs.
At the time of this posting, the Beyer Figures are not out for the Saturday card that featured quick wins by Amy's Challenge and Asmussen trainee Mitole.
In news on some other stakes runners for the barn, Asmussen said Saturday morning that She's a Julie, winner of the Grade 3 Bayakoa here last month in her 4-year-old debut, is being considered for a start in the Grade 2 Azeri on March 16 at Oaklawn.
Copper Bullet, who ran second by a neck in the Grade 3 Razorback Handicap here last month in his 4-year-old debut, is under consideration for the Grade 2 New Orleans Handicap, said Asmussen.
