Stubbins ($5.80) won his stakes debut in Saturday's $100,000 Pasadena Stakes for 3-year-olds. The one-mile race was scheduled for turf, but was moved to the turf because of extensive morning rain. The race was run on a sealed and sloppy track.

Stubbins, ridden by Tyler Baze, won by eight lengths over 7-2 Neptune's Storm. Big Scott Daddy, the 4-5 favorite, finished fourth. Stubbins was timed in 1:36.15.
