The 20-cent Rainbow pick six will have a mandatory payout on Saturday, a track official said on Sunday.
Saturday's program will include the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap and the Grade 2 San Felipe Stakes for 3-year-olds, among five scheduled stakes.
The Rainbow portion of the pick six is paid only if there is one winning ticket, until there is a a day with a mandatory payout. Saturday will be the second day of the winter-spring meeting with a mandatory payout. On Feb. 2, there was a mandatory payout that drew a pool of new money of $5,198,742. The Feb. 2 program began with a carryover of $1,592,209.
The bet returned $296.
The Rainbow pick six was not hit between opening day on Dec. 26 and the Feb. 2 program with a mandatory payout.
The bet has not been hit since Feb. 3 and has a carryover of $549,038 for Sunday.
