Trainer Larry Jones is going for a grand slam of sorts in the upcoming fifth race at Oaklawn. He starts Rising Star in the maiden special weight for 3-year-olds and up at a mile. The horse is the last of four Jones trainees to run back following a start on the opening day program Jan. 25 at Oaklawn.

Super Steed was the first to run back after finishing off the board in the Smarty Jones. He returned to action Feb. 18 and upset the Grade 3, $500,000 Southwest Stakes at 62-1 at Oaklawn.
Next up was Istan Council, who ran ninth in an optional $62,500 claiming race Jan. 25 at Oaklawn. Istan Council returned on Feb. 21 and won at the same level at 23-1 at Oaklawn.
Lovely Flash was the third of Jones' four starters on Jan. 25 at Oaklawn to run back, winning a $40,000 maiden claiming race as the favorite on Feb. 22. It came one start after she was seventh in a maiden special weight Jan. 25 at Oaklawn.
Rising Star (6) is currently 6-1.
