There may only be six horses running in the upcoming Silks Run, but half the field is Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint quality. VISION PERFECT (5) is taking the most early money, and understandably so. After catching a boggy turf course in the Breeders' Cup, Vision Perfect was sparkling in his two subsequent starts, earning Beyers of 98 and 106; his versatility makes him the horse to beat this afternoon.
The speed that PAY ANY PRICE (1) brings to the table is dangerous in any race, and his career record of 18-13-2-1 at Gulfstream Park is nothing to sneeze at; breaking from the rail, there's no question where he'll be entering the far turn.
IMPRIMIS (2) makes his first start since early September, but it's worth noting he's fired fresh on two different occasions (career debut, first off layoff on 5/18/18). Another one that has some versatility, it will be interesting to see how Paco Lopez plays things here this afternoon.
