For what it's worth, after three races on the main track today at Tampa Bay Downs, it's clear that, so far, at the very least, that dirt surface seems to be playing entirely fairly to all paths and running styles.

In most cases, this point would be unremarkable. But it is worth noting in this instance considering that on Tampa's last big stakes day - the Sam Davis card on Feb. 9 - the rail on the main track was decidedly dead.
