CHRIS AND DAVE (3) may not fit the traditional "best bet" mold; he's far from the likeliest of winners, and he's likely going to need one of the best races of his life to prevail in this afternoon's Oaklawn Handicap. On the other hand, Chris and Dave is an honest horse that usually runs his race, and, on occasion, can pop a strong figure - especially when there's moisture in the race track. The sloppy surface these runners will encounter this afternoon should play to the advantage of Chris and Dave, and he has a bit of tactical speed in a relatively paceless race. Nine-furlongs may not be his ideal distance, but I believe the wet surface will serve as a bit of an equalizer for this whole group, elevating Chris and Dave to "live longshot" territory. I like Chris and Dave to win the Oaklawn Handicap; he's currently 10-1 with 20 MTP, but based on double will pays, he's likely to go off considerably higher.
