LEXINGTON, Ky. – RUSHING FALL made all the pace Saturday in leading a 1-2-4 finish for trainer Chad Brown in the 31st running of the $350,000 Jenny Wiley, the fourth and last Grade 1 race of the 16-day Keeneland spring meet.
Giving Javier Castellano his sixth win from the first 15 stakes at this spring meet, Rushing Fall ran her career mark to 7-for-8, returning $3.80 as a heavy favorite after finishing the 1 1/16-mile distance in 1:42.77 over a firm turf. The 4yo More Than Ready filly is owned by the eFive Racing of Bob Edwards and family.
RYMSKA, the 2-1 second choice, ade a belated run along the rail at her stablemate but came up a length shy. GOT STORMY, a 21-1 outsider, completed the trifecta, while the third Brown entrant in a field of 8 fillies and mares, ONTHEMOONAGAIN, finished fourth. The full order was 2-4-7-8-6.
Brown swept the first 3 places in this race last year.
The $2 exacta (2-4) paid $7.40, the $1 trifecta (2-4-7) returned $26.20, and the 10-cent superfecta (2-4-7-8) was worth $8.14.
