It is a beautiful Palm Sunday afternoon at Oaklawn Park, where the Grade 1, $750,000 Apple Blossom Handicap and $150,000 Fifth Season will close out the Racing Festival of the South. Sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s come a day after continual rain and winds accompanied Arkansas Derby Day. The current track condition one race out from the Fifth Season is good. The Apple Blossom, which goes later on the card, is one of two Grade 1 races run in the region of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The other is the Arkansas Derby.
