Jockey Martin Garcia, who has battled shoulder injury in the last eight months, won Saturday's first race on 15-1 Whoa Nessie, his first win of the year.
Whoa Nessie, trained by Doug O'Neill, edged 4-5 favorite Lucky Lately in a maiden race at a mile on turf.
Garcia returned to riding in late March from injury. Whoa Nessie was his 15th mount of the year.
Garcia is best known for his relationship with trainer Bob Baffert. They teamed to win the 2014 Breeders' Cup Classic with Bayern.
