GARTER AND TIE (3) gets turned back to one-turn after trying tougher company at distances that were too long in each of his two most recent starts, making him a major threat in this afternoon's Roar at Gulfstream. Trained by Ralph Nicks, Garter and Tie most recently tried the G1 Florida Derby at nine-furlongs - a trip that is too far for him against horses that are too tough for him. The turn-back to 7/8ths should do wonders for him, and he may be a reasonable price this afternoon; I'll play Garter and Tie to win at odds of 5/2 or greater.
