Haunt, a half-brother to multiple Grade 1 winner and $1.5 million earner Elate, is my choice for the upcoming fourth race at Churchill Downs on Oaks Day - a race that has come off the turf and is now being run on a muddy main track.
Although he has not yet run to his pedigree, finishing out of the money in three starts in Florida this winter, his works are quick, topped by a half-mile move in 48 seconds at Churchill Apr. 26. DRF's Mike Welsch gave him a nice review in his clocker report, noting he outworked his company and galloped out in sharp time.
Haunt is a fair price at 7-2 odds with 9 minutes to post.
