The fastest six and one-half furlongs since Santa Anita racing resumed March 29 produced a career-high 95 Beyer for Lady Ninja, who defeated odds-on Ce Ce by a neck in 1:16.21. Ce Ce earned a 94 in the first-level allowance, finishing more than nine lengths clear of third. Five-year-old Lady Ninja is a 6-for-19 mare trained by Richard Baltas. Ce Ce, a 3-year-old filly trained by Michael McCarthy, was making just the second start of her career. She improved five points from her impressive debut. Two good filly-mare sprinters, particularly the runner-up.
