Chad Brown is well represented in the upcoming Gallorette with both INFLEXIBILITY (2) and BARKAA (9), and that's a surprise to no one; it's a graded stakes race on grass, and Chad has a million graded stakes caliber turf horses (or so it seems). It would be no surprise to see either of those horses win, nor would it be a surprise to see MITCHELL ROAD (4) keep rolling along for trainer Bill Mott. Mitchell Road has done little wrong in her career, winning four of six lifetime starts, including a victory over next-out stakes winner Beau Recall back on February 16.
I'm most interested in Graham Motion's THEWAYIAM (3) making her second start off a lengthy layoff. The most recent effort for this daughter of Thewayyouare felt like nothing more than a prep, rallying off a slow pace to just miss in her first start since August of 2018. The late kick that Thewayiam possessed last year appears to still be there, and she should be prepared to take a step forward this afternoon. I like Thewayiam to win this year's Gallorette.
