In Sunday's first race, a maiden special weight race for 3-year-old fillies at five furlongs, Moreisbetter ($4.20) was timed in 57.74 seconds. The fractions were 22.18 seconds for the opening quarter-mile and 45.38 for a half-mile.

The race was scheduled for turf. There were six starters from an original list of 11 entrants.
