There are two scratches on the 8-race card that begins at 1:50 p.m. Pacific.
Race 2: (1) Jack Don't Drink
Race 6: (2) Stay Cool
There is a $10 guarantee for the late Pick 4 which begins on Race 5. It looks like a tough sequence with no obvious singles.
The Pick 5 begins on the third race with a $1,558 carryover. A ticket could be built around (3) Bad and Bougie, race 3, who had a rough trip when she finished third as the favorite in a similar spot in her first start thiw year.
The feature is an allowance race for 3 & 4-year-olds which have never won two or B.C.-bred nonwinners of three. (7) Harry's Hammer is the best horse in the 6 1/2 furlong dash that drew 7 horses. He does want more distance, but he has been very sharp in his workouts this spring and could be dangerous if he can stay in touch early.
The track is fast but with rain in the area that could change.
