Louisiana Downs will usher in a new later post time for Saturdays starting this afternoon, with first post set for 3:15 p.m. Central. The track had a 12:55 p.m. start time on Saturdays, but the later post is expected to better serve offtrack patrons and it falls in line with post for the other racedays, according to an official with Louisiana Downs. Post for Super Derby Day on Sept. 7 will be an exception, with first post 12 p.m. Central, said track executive Eric Halstrom.
