FORTY UNDER (5) was a solid two-year-old, and his return to the races at three was a fine effort. In the Woodhaven, Forty Under was forced to wait in behind horses rounding the far turn; it seems unlikely he’d have been able to run down Clint Maroon (who wired the field), but it was a solid enough three-year-old debut. I think Forty Under moves forward in his second start off the lay-off for Jeremiah Englehart and is a threat to win the Penn Mile; based on doubles he’s likely to be the second choice when it’s all said and done.
