Sir Winston, who won the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, "was loving his mints" Sunday morning, trainer Mark Casse said. He said both he and Preakness winner War of Will, who finished ninth in the Belmont, were in good order on Sunday, and both are scheduled to make their next starts at Saratoga. The Travers is the goal, and "most likely the Jim Dandy" will be the prep, Casse said.
Tacitus, second in the Belmont, "seems fine, ate up," trainer Bill Mott said Sunday morning. He too is headed to Saratoga, also with the Travers in mind. The Jim Dandy is also the most likely spot for him to have a prep, Mott said.
I'll have a longer, more-detailed follow-up posted later at www.drf.com, but that's the quick update for now.
