Lane 1 and firm (10.5 GS) for main turf on a gorgeous, less-humid day than yesterday. A breezy west wind could speed up the sprint fractions. The Tapeta was on the slow side for this morning's works.

Morning line favorite Souper Tapit is scratched from the G3 Dominion Day. The upwardly mobile Special Forces is taking a three-race win streak in allowance/optional claimers into his stakes debut, and could go favored under Alan Garcia. Are You Kidding Me finished third in this event in each of the past two years, going a 10-furlong distance that's beyond his preference.  

The $225K Bison City Stakes is the middle leg of the Canadian Triple Tiara, a series for Canadian-bred sophomore fillies. The obvious protagonists are the Woodbine Oaks second and third-place finishers Bold Script and Speedy Soul.

Team Stronach was unhappy with the ride that Intanga Rose got when a front-running fourth in the Oaks. Expect her to sit off the pace in the 1 1/16-mile Tapeta route, with Luis Contreras taking over. Razeena, a talented maiden from Belmont, wouldn't be much of a surprise, even though she has no synthetic track experience.
