Jockey Norberto Arroyo, Jr. will miss about two weeks because of foot and shoulder injuries sustained in a spill involving a loose horse at San Luis Rey Downs on Wednesday, according to his agent, Mike Ciani.
Arroyo was unseated when a loose horse ran clockwise on the track and into the path of a horse Arroyo was riding, Ciani said. The horses were not injured, Ciani said.
Arroyo is targeting a comeback for Oct. 18.
