Sunday's program will be held at a slightly-faster pace than originally advertised to allow for the nine-race card to be completed before sunset. There is a section of about 2 1-2 furlongs - from 4 1-2 furlongs to the finish to just before the quarter-pole that is not lit.

When the track was expanded here in early 2014 to accommodate an oval of just less than a mile, the entire track was not flood-lit. As a result, daytime programs conducted on the larger track must be finished before dusk.

The smaller, five-eighths track used for nighttime races is fully lit as is the stretch from the 440-yard mark to the wire used for Quarter Horse races.
