Storming Lady (5-1) finished first in Sunday' sixth race at 5 1-2 furlongs on turf, but was disqualified and placed third for causing interference to original third-place finisher Holly Hundy, the 9-5 favorite.
The decision resulted in the promotion of Devils Dance ($95) from second to first. Devils Dance was the longest shot in the field of 10.
The incident occurred in the stretch when Storming Lady, who was ridden by Rafael Bejarano, drifted out, causing Holly Hundy to alter course under jockey Joel Rosario. Storming Lady finished a half-length in front of Devils Dance, who was a nose in front of Holly Hundy at the finish of the allowance race with a $62,500 claiming option for fillies and mares.
Holly Hundy closed well in the final sixteenth to just miss finishing second.
