Services for Scott Landers, the 35-year-old son of prominent Arkansas-based owner Steve Landers, will be held Tuesday. The celebration of life begins at 11 a.m. Central at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark.
Scott Landers died Wednesday of a heart attack while duck hunting in Central Arkansas, according to a statement posted by the Steve Landers Auto Group. Scott Landers was managing partner of the Steve Landers automotive dealerships, working alongside his father, Steve, and brother, Steve, Jr. An Arkansas native, Scott Landers graduated from Pulaski Academy in 2002 and attended Arkansas Tech University, according to the statement from Steve Landers Auto Group. His father, Steve Landers, is known in racing as the owner of Grade 1 winner Leofric and a member of the Arkansas Racing Commission.
“Scott’s family, associates and employees greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers,” the statement read.
