Golden Gate Fields, located in Alameda county in Northern California, is just minutes away from the start of its eight-race program.

The track is starting the program on a day Santa Anita was informed by Los Angeles county officials to cease racing on a temporary basis, effective immediately.

Both tracks are owned by The Stronach Group.
