There is plenty of action from Australia later this evening, and well into Thursday morning back East, with four tracks operating throughout that country.
The action begins at 10 p.m., Eastern, or 7 p.m., Pacific, with the first of a nine-race program at the Geelong Racing Club. At 10:15 p.m., Geelong starts its seven-race card.
At 10:34 p.m., Cairns Jockey Club begins an eight-race program.
As those venues complete their racing, there is more action for racing fans. At 1:27 a.m., Eastern, on Thursday, or 10:27 p.m., Pacific on Wednesday, there is an eight-race program at Albany Racing Club that lasts until 5:15 a.m., Eastern.
The finale is the Wellington and Reeves Handicap at 5 1-2 furlongs which drew a field of 10. The mare Willow River (4) catches the eye. She won a maiden race at this course and over this distance last April and has since won twice.
