Kimari, at 5-2, came rolling through the stretch to catch Frank's Rockette and win the $100,000 Purple Martin for 3-year-old fillies at Oaklawn. She covered six furlongs on a sloppy, sealed track in 1:10.57. Channing Hill was aboard the winner for trainer Wesley Ward.
Frank's Rockette was second and Edgeway, third.
