Los Al: A glance at the 2yo maidens in the 6th

A field of seven maiden 2-year-old fillies are entered for Saturday's sixth race. The group consists entirely of first-time starters and includes two runners trained by Chris O'Dell and Paul Jones.

Los Al publicist Orlando Gutierrez shares his insights into the recent workouts. All works are at 220 yards from the gate.

Betsy Vista JQM (1), April 4, 12.7 seconds - By Corona Cartel, she worked with Make Me Over and won the workout easily while breaking from the inside post. (Make Me Over is part of this field). In the workout, Betsy Vista JQM broke straight and was brushed by Make Me Over before accelerating. She won without urging and had the seventh-fastest of 48 works of the morning.

Owdacious (2), March 28, 12.7 seconds - An Oregon-bred, Owdacious faced the One Sweet Jess filly Only Sweet Sister. Owdacious broke slowly and was bumped and pushed to the rail. She moved away from the rail and finished strongly, with a nice late run. She had the 15th of 35 works.

Make Me Over (3), April 4, 13.3 seconds - She worked on the outside of Betsy Vista JQM, breaking to the inside and brushing her rival. She evened out quickly but was outworked. She raced in a straight manner to the wire.

Bubala (4), April 4, 12.4 seconds - She had a time slightly slower than workout partner Leah Carroll, who was timed in 12.3. Bubala left the gate sharply before drfting to the inside when asked right-handed. She moved back outside and found a nice stride, finishing about three-quarters of a length behind Leah Carroll. This was an improved work from Bubala preceded by a 13.2-second workout on March 21. This workout was the seventh of 48 drills for the morning.

Jess Cartel Eyes (5), March 21, 12.3 seconds - By Corona Cartel out of Jess Racy Eyes, she worked with Jess A Little Riddle, who finished fourth on Friday. Jess Cartel Eyes broke okay and brushed with her rival before pulling away impressively by about five lengths, witha solid gallop out. She had the fifth-fastest of 67 works.

R Special Kiss (6), March 31, 12.8 seconds -By Kiss My Hocks, she raced with My Favorite Ocean. R Special Kiss was a bit antsy in the gate. She hopped away from the gate and drifted to the inside, impeding My Favorite Ocean. The rider corrected R Special Kiss before she shifted to outside to finish a length in front of My Favorite Ocean.

Roses For a Princess (7), April 4, 12.5 seconds - By Jess Got Easier, Roses for a Princess won this workout easily. She was a little antsy in the gate, and broke to the inside, but was hand-ridden to the wire. This was a nice easy work, the 18th of 48 drills.
