Oaklawn Park announced Sunday it will run two $500,000 divisions of the Arkansas Derby this coming Saturday, May 2. They will be showcased on a 14-race card that starts at 12 p.m. Central.
There are currently 21 horses in the entry box for the Arkansas Derby, which is being drawn Sunday.
Oaklawn made the announcement at the end of its daily handicapping show, through hosts Nancy Holthus and Vic Stauffer.
They said each division of the Arkansas Derby will carry the full points value for the Kentucky Derby.
The Arkansas Derby will share a card with the Grade 2, $600,000 Oaklawn Handicap that is expected to have a full field of 14.
