Bellafina earned a 92 Beyer Figure winning the Grade 3 Desert Stormer Stakes by one length in 1:09.85 on Sunday at Santa Anita. It was the seventh graded stakes victory for Bellafina, who earned a career-best 105 finishing second in the 2019 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint.
The 2020 campaign for Bellafina is to be determined, the next graded race for filly-mare sprinters in California is the Grade 2 Desert Stormer Stakes on July 4 at Los Alamitos.
Collusion Illusion earned an 89 Beyer winning a second-level allowance Sunday by three lengths 1:10.03. Winner of the Grade 2 Best Pal Stakes last summer at Del Mar, Collusion Illusion was making his first start since September. Flavien Prat, who rode six winners Sunday and went 10-for-25 reopening weekend, rode Bellafina and Collusion Illusion.
Lambeau earned a 92 Beyer winning an entry-level allowance mile in 1:37.26 on Sunday.
