United Patriot powerful through stretch to win Cherokee Nation Cup at Will Rogers

United Patriot, at 9-5, overtook the leaders in the stretch and went on to a clear win in the $55,000 Cherokee Nation Classic Cup on Tuesday at Will Rogers Downs. The winner covered the mile and a sixteenth on a fast track in 1:44.03.

The race for Oklahoma-breds was the final stakes of the meet that ends Wednesday.
