Lone Star Park near Dallas, which opens its meet Friday after a five-week delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, has received approval of its request to race Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in June.
The shift in race dates was approved Thursday by Texas Racing Commission executive director Chuck Trout.
Lone Star requested to race every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in June, with a first post of 1:30 p.m. Central. The track also was granted approval to race Saturday, June 27, with a post of 3 p.m. Central.
In the past, Lone Star had typically raced Thursday through Sunday in June.
