Lone Star Park near Dallas plans to resume racing on Sunday, according to a statement from the track's spokeswoman. Lone Star has not raced since July 5.
"Live racing will resume Sunday, July 19 with gates opening at 1 p.m. and first race at 3:05 p.m.," Kym Koch Thompson, Lone Star Park spokeswoman, said in a statement sent to Daily Racing Form.
Lone Star suspended live racing temporarily after the first race July 5 due to an employee testing positive for the coronavirus. The track had been awaiting test results on other individuals before resuming live racing. Simulcasting has continued operating. The employee was involved in racing operations. The public is able to attend live racing under certain protocols, which include the wearing of face masks.
