Del Mar will race Friday through Monday (July 24-27) next week following this week’s cancellation and rescheduling of four stakes. A look ahead:

Friday, July 24

The $65,000 Daisycutter Handicap for fillies and mares including speedster Stealthediamonds and sharp shipper Tomlin originally was scheduled to be run July 18. The five-furlong turf sprint will be redrawn Saturday, July 18.

The $100,000 Fleet Treat Stakes for Cal-bred 3-year-old fillies will be run as scheduled on July 24. The list of nominees for the seven-furlong race includes stakes winners Been Studying Her, Big Sweep and Smiling Shirlee. The race will be drawn Saturday.

Saturday, July 25

The Grade 2 San Diego Handicap for older horses including 127-pound highweight Maximum Security and last year’s Pacific Classic winner Higher Power originally was scheduled for July 18. The mile and a sixteenth race will be redrawn Sunday, July 19.

The Grade 2 San Clemente Stakes for 3-year-old fillies will be run as scheduled on July 25. Nominees to the mile turf race include graded winners Laura’s Light and Lazy Daisy, and ungraded stakes winner Warren’s Showtime. The race will be drawn Sunday.

The $65,000 Smiling Tiger Stakes for 3-year-olds originally was scheduled for July 19; nominations for the six-furlong race include Grade 1 winner Eight Rings. The race will be drawn Sunday.

Sunday, July 26

The Grade 2 Eddie Read Stakes for older turf horses including United and last year’s Read winner Bowies Hero originally was scheduled for July 19. The mile and one-eighth turf race will be drawn on Thursday, July 23.

The $125,000 California Dreamin’ Stakes for Cal-breds will be run as scheduled on July 26. Nominations for the mile and one-sixteenth turf race include stakes winners Galilean and Take the One O One. The race will be drawn Thursday.

Monday, July 27

A list of races for this “extra” day was to be released Friday by Del Mar officials. The races will be drawn Friday, July 24.
