Indiana Grand Racecourse cancelled the bulk of its Tuesday card because of wet conditions. After two races had been run, the remainder of the program -- eight Thoroughbred races and one Quarter Horse race -- was abandoned. In a press release, the track said the decision to cancel was a mutual one agreed upon by "jockeys, track management and horsemen." The release said Indiana Grand "received several inches of continuous rain over the past 36 hours." Monday's races were run over a sloppy main track; turf races were taken off the grass course. Racing was set to resume Wednesday afternoon.
