Oaklawn Park has canceled racing from Saturday through Monday due to a winter storm system forecast to hit the Hot Springs, Ark., area later this week, the track announced Wednesday.
The Grade 3, $750,000 Southwest Stakes that was to highlight the Monday card will be run next Saturday, Feb. 20. The same 11-race card will also include the Grade 3, $600,000 Razorback Handicap and the Grade 3, $250,000 Bayakoa. The 10-race card Sunday will feature the Dixie Belle for 3-year-old fillies and the regularly-scheduled Downthedustyroad Stakes.
