Apprentice jockeys Mattie Lillian Martin and Randy Vega both recently recorded their first career victories, according to press releases. 

Martin reached the milestone Sunday at Lone Star Park, with a narrow win aboard Rubber Bandman. 

Vega, an 18-year-old native of Tulsa, Okla., won his first race May 21 at Remington Park, aboard Strawberry Mangarita.
