Remington Park on Wednesday announced the dates for its richest races, the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby on Sept. 26 and the $400,000 Springboard Mile for 2-year-olds Dec. 19, as part of the release of its full stakes schedule. The track will race 67 dates from Aug. 20 through Dec. 19.
There are a total of 34 stakes set for the meet, and they are worth a cumulative $3.8 million.
The Oklahoma Derby, at a mile and an eighth, will be showcased on a card of eight stakes that includes the Grade 3, $200,000 Remington Park Oaks at a mile and a sixteenth.
The Springboard Mile, which is a traditional points race for the Kentucky Derby, will anchor a card of six stakes on closing day. The lineup includes the $100,000 Trapeze for 2-year-old fillies at a mile.
The $1 million Oklahoma Classics Night program of divisonal stakes is set for Oct. 15.
