Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla., on Friday announced handle figures and title winners for its meet that ended in May. The track handled an average $778,000 a day on its races from all sources this meet, up from $676,000 during the comparable meet in 2019. The meet in 2020 was held during the pandemic, and the track set serveral handle records.
Lady Orchid was named Horse of the Meet.
Floyd Wethey Jr., won the riding title with 50 wins, which was 15 more than second-leading rider Alfredo Triana, Jr., according to the press release.
Scott Young won the training title with 25 wins, two more than second-leading trainer Steve Williams.
Williams was the leading owner with 20 wins.
