Newgrange has drawn post 2 for the Grade 2, $1 million Rebel on Saturday at Oaklawn. The mile and a sixteenth race drew 11. 

John Velazquez has the mount for trainer Bob Baffert. 

Newgrange is coming off a win in the Grade 3, $750,000 Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn. 

Barber Road, who was second in the Southwest, drew post 9 and will be ridden by Reylu Gutierrez. 

Dash Attack, winner of the $250,000 Smarty Jones at Oaklawn, drew post 11 and will be ridden by David Cohen.

Kavod, winner of the $150,000 Advent Stakes at Oaklawn, drew the rail and will be ridden by Francisco Arrieta.  

The complete field from the rail: Kavod, Newgrange, Cairama, Un Ojo, Texas Red Hot, Stellar Tap, Ben Diesel, Chasing Time, Barber Road, Ethereal Road and Dash Attack. 

Newgrange was a supplement to the Rebel, according to racing officials at Oaklawn.

The Rebel rewards Kentucky Derby points on a scale of 50-20-10-5.
