Trainer Rodolphe Brisset plans to have a 20-horse division at the upcoming meet at Oaklawn Park and said his first shipment of runners is due to arrive at the Hot Springs, Ark., track on Tuesday. Oaklawn opens its barn area Tuesday for the meet that gets underway Dec. 9.
"We're looking forward to the season there," Brisset said last week.
Brisset said his division will include Yuugiri, the winner of last year's Grade 3 Fantasy at Oaklawn. He said Grade 3 Peter Pan winner We the People, who is being freshened, is a candidate for the handicap series at Oaklawn. Brisset also will have a number of young horses on hand for Oaklawn.
Training at Oaklawn begins Saturday, and published works start Monday, Nov. 7, according to Oaklawn director of racing Jennifer Hoyt. The first day of entries is Dec. 3. Oaklawn will race through May 6.
