Favored Trapalanda and second choice Sorry Erik won the first two legs of Saturday's pick six, which began with a carryover of $68,650 in the main pool. Bettors added $471,074 to the pool on Saturday.
Trapalanda ($5.40) won a maiden claimer in the fifth race, while Sorry Erik paid ($7.20) after winning an optional claimer on turf.
Trapalanda was part of a controversial situation. A first-time starter, he was listed in the program as a colt and was announced as a gelding with approximately 20 minutes before the pick six began. He was claimed for $50,000 by trainer Mike Puype, who said he was aware the 3-year-old was a gelding well before the race.
Sorry Erik, claimed for $20,000 in January, was fourth in the Grade 3 Ohio Derby at Thistledown on June 24 and is now a candidate for the Grade 2 Del Mar Derby on Sept. 3.
