Moonshine Annie (3) is from the right family to win on turf at Del Mar this summer. Her older half-brother, Blackjackcat, won the Wickerr Stakes last Sunday.

Thursday, Moonshine Annie (Discreetly Mine-Bootleg Annie, by Go for Gin) starts in an allowance race for California-bred fillies and mares at 1 1-16 miles on turf.

Trained by Mark Glatt, Moonshine Annie was fourth in a similar race at Santa Anita on Juen 23, losing by three lengths as the 8-5 favorite. Gary Stevens was aboard for that race and retains the mount.

Moonshine Annie is 2-1 with 19 minutes to post. Golden Light (1) is the slight favorite, also at 2-1.
