Fending off a phalanx of challengers, BEACH PATROL won the 35th Arlington Million under Joel Rosario, adding yet another chapter to the Chad Brown success story. He paid $11.60.

Racing just off the pace in the 1 1/4-mile turf race, Beach Patrol took over turning for home and turned back, among others, favored DEAUVILLE, who yielded 2nd in the final yards to 73-1 shot FANCIFUL ANGEL.

The top-five order was 10-6-5-3-12.
