Sunday - Pick six carryover of $104k+

With the pick six having gone unhit on the first two days back at Belmont, Sunday's card will feature a carryover in excess of $104k.

The sequence begins in Race 5, with an approximate post time of 3:36 ET.

The first leg isn't easy, with a field of NY-bred filly & mare maiden claimers routing on turf.

The field of ten has made a combined 67 starts without a win (there is one first time starter in there), and they have several races in common, as well.

Of the known quantities, I prefer Wish Upon, if only because she had a bit of a difficult trip most recently when losing position and then being forced wide on the turn, though she looks much like many other fillies in this field.

Saturdaynightfling outran her odds to finish 3rd in her lone turf start to date.  She is interesting, if only because she remains so lightly-raced.

Also fitting that mold is Lady Love.  How much ability she actually has is questionable, but she has made only one start on grass, has a little pedigree, and is dropping in class for this.

Tough race to start it off.

Older maidens will go a one-turn mile in the 6th.

Greek Alphabet got outrun in a fast-paced sprint while making his career debut last month, but he can benefit from that race, and from the added distance he picks up here.  He is an expensive son of Medaglia d'Oro, and he is from the female family top routers Shackleford and Lady Joanne.

Todd Pletcher has a pair of 3yos returning from layoffs (something he excels with) while Chad Brown debuts the well-bred Tizway colt Backyard Heaven.

Fuel the Bern returns from a layoff for Christophe Clement.  He earned a solid figure in his lone dirt start at two, though he didn't appear to do a ton of running in that race.  He does appear to be training well up to his 3yo debut.

Race 7 likely goes through Rapscallion, who has won each of his last three starts over this course and distance.

After scratches, Padilla and Abiding Star look more interesting.

Race 8 is the Allied Forces, for 3yos sprinting on turf.

Many will likely lean on Big Handsome, who is turning back to sprint while dropping out of some tougher races going long, where he acquitted himself very well.

He is better than these horses, and is better sprinting than he is routing.

The wildcard is Fact Finding, switching to turf for the first time with some pedigree after beginning his career with some promise for Pletcher.  He is by The Factor, and out of a dam who was a three-time winner on grass.

Race 9 features a heavy favorite on the ML in Jamyson 'n Ginger.  There is some question regarding her current condition, as she has not been seen since making her 3yo debut back on June 1st, but she ran fine that day to be 2nd behind Unchained Melody, and she was a pretty good 2yo.  She makes her first start for Chad Brown today.

The other horse for me is Crimson Frost, who improved stretching out earlier this year and gets a trainer change to Linda Rice.

In the finale I want to give Strawberry Tequila a shot as she tries turf for the first time, while also dropping in class.  Her lone win came over a wet track, but she has some turf in her pedigree, and she stumbled at the start of her 3yo debut.

Crazy About Jazz is the horse to beat, though she isn't really that good, and A Dixie Twister has competitive races to get back to after reportedly bleeding last time.
