Shotgun Kowboy ($2.20) darted to a five and a quarter length win over Tuff Kid in the $175,000 Oklahoma Classics Cup, one of eight statebred stakes run Friday night at Remington Park. It was the second time Shotgun Kowboy had won the race, as he captured it in 2015 after winning that year's Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby.
Richard Eramia rode Shotgun Kowboy for the horse's breeder, owner and trainer, C.R. Trout.
In other stakes, Gianna's Dream ($2.20) improved her record over the Remington turf to 4-for-4 with her victory in the $130,000 Oklahoma Classics Distaff Turf. Tyler Gaffalione rode the winner for owner Jordan Wycoff and trainer Mike Maker.
Inagoodway ($17) wired the field in the $145,000 Distaff, winning by a length and a half over 1-2 favorite Steel Cut.
