Marcelino Pedroza capture his first Indiana Grand riding title by booting home 109 winners during a race meet that ended Friday. The race for leading jockey came down to the meet's final card, on which Pedroza rode two winners to top Deshawn Parker's meet total of 108 winners. Katie Clawson led the jockey standings for much of season that began way back on April 18, but Clawson was injured in August and, for reasons unrelated to her injury, decided to retire before returning to action.
Genaro Garcia won his first training title by sending out 54 winners, 15 more than runner-up Kim Hammond. Garcia's 272 starters also were more than any other trainer.
Gary Patrick, who trained 29 winners, was the meet's leading owner with 24 winners, one more than Haran Thoroughbreds, whose principal, John Haran, sent out 33 winners as a trainer
